Our athlete of the week for this past week is Ayoub Al Arabi from the boys Varsity Soccer Team. Ayoub is the top goal scorer of the league with 10 goals scored. Over the summer he participated in the Canada Games and was chosen as a top 11 all star of the tournament. Ayoub is a Senior player and has been a starter since grade ten. He is a leader on the field and makes the players around him better players.

Our other athlete of the week is Erin Freeman from the Girls Varsity Soccer Team. Erin played senior soccer this past summer with the Canada Games team, leading the league in goals scored. She continued her great play while at the games, helping Nova Scotia bring home a bronze medal. Her experience and leadership lead her to become one of the captains for the girls’ team this year. Her consistent play and high level of competitiveness has led the Halifax West Girls’ soccer team to a 5 and 0 start. Great job Ayoub and Erin! Please come to the office to pick up your certificates.
