Attention lovers of Broadway Musicals!!   And anyone else who loves to sing, dance, paint, sew costumes, play an instrument, mess with lights, climb ladders, hammer nails or switch buttons on and off.  After a 2 year hiatus Halifax West will be producing a musical next spring. The big reveal will take place Tuesday June 5 at lunch in the school theatre.  No previous experience is necessary.  We are looking for musicians, singers, dancers, carpenters, painters, staff and students and anyone else who would like to be involved.  You can play a big part or simply help out a little bit, all are welcome.  Come on out next Tuesday at lunch to hear which musical we will be performing next year.

Our girls’ rugby team ended off their season with a big win on Monday! Our girls played auburn in the finals for the banner and the game went into overtime, our girls gave it their all and pulled through and won the game and the banner! Congratulations girls!

The last Coffee House of the year is tonight! Come hang out with us in the Caf at 7:00 pm - there will be tons of talent and snacks for only $2 at the door. This is your last chance to see the great musical and artistic talent that the West has to offer, so don’t miss it!

Arts Week ends tomorrow with Artist Dress-Up Day! Dress up as your favourite artist, musician, actor, author, etc, and stop by the Caf at lunch to show off your costume in the Fashion Show while we listen to some classic rock music.

Congratulations to our girls’ softball team who won a close provincial qualifier game against Horton High School 10-8.  Beatrice Currie made a fantastic catch to seal the game for the West.  They now move to Provincials this weekend.  Go Warriors!!
