Attention lovers of Broadway Musicals!!   And anyone else who loves to sing, dance, paint, sew costumes, play an instrument, mess with lights, climb ladders, hammer nails or switch buttons on and off.  After a 2 year hiatus Halifax West will be producing a musical next spring. The big reveal will take place today at lunch in the school theatre.  No previous experience is necessary.  We are looking for musicians, singers, dancers, carpenters, painters, staff and students and anyone else who would like to be involved.  You can play a big part or simply help out a little bit, all are welcome.  Come on out next Tuesday at lunch to hear which musical we will be performing next year. 

June 16th, you are invited to attend a First Nations Drumming Circle with Women of the Shore at Keshen Goodman Library. This event begins at 2:30. 

Are you interested in going on an exchange trip to France in April 2019? Students from Halifax West will travel to Orleans, France for two weeks.  While there they will be billeted by host families.  We will spend a few days at their school, as well as take daily excursions around the area, including Paris.   The students from France will then spend two weeks with your family and explore Nova Scotia. 

At this time we are looking for students who may be interested for more information come to a meeting Monday, June 11th in the library at lunch. 

Attention warriors, due to the weather forecast, the barbecue is going to be this Thursday at lunch instead of Friday. Hotdogs will be $1.00.  Chicken and vegetarian hotdogs will also be available! Hope to see everyone there!
