There will be tryouts for the boys baseball team held today, Wednesday and Friday of this week.  Tryouts will take place from 3:30 - 5:00 at Westridge field.

Mr. Scott, is looking for students of African descent to join the Halifax West Umoja Club.  If interested please come to the seminar room at lunchtime on Friday.

The Halifax West March Break 2019 trip goes to Eastern Europe, including Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. Join us as we travel to World War II and Cold War sites and museums while experiencing the beauty of Eastern Europe.  There will be a meeting for new recruits Thursday at lunch in Room C125.

There will be an information meeting about the Halifax West Improv Team this Thursday at lunch in the Drama Room B223. Come to learn all about the team, improv and how to audition.

There will be Open Improv Games in the Drama Room B223 this Friday at lunch. Come out to play Improv Games and perform in Improv Scenes; bring your lunch and enjoy the fun!

There will be a very important meeting for all students interested in running x-country this year.   For those interested in getting in shape, using running as a form of cross-training for other sports or simply being part of a great team, please come to Room A284 across from the student government room today at lunch.  If you cannot be there, please see Mrs. Brennan.

Tomorrow is Pink day.  This is a day when we celebrate what brings us all together and we stand up against bullying.  Tomorrow, wear pink to show that you do your part to stop bullying in our school and community.  We hope that at the West, the spirit of Pink day is every day!  We will be selling pink "Warriors against Bullying" shirts for $6 today at lunch in the caf and tomorrow morning in the main foyer.  Come out to the caf tomorrow at lunch and take photos in our photo booth and head to the gym at the beginning of lunch to be in our School pink photo for the yearbook! 

Hey Warriors!  Come out tonight from 6-8pm to our annual Ice cream social!  We have lots of flavours and it is free!  Please come and bring your friends to enjoy some social time.

Come out after school and cheer on our girls varsity soccer team against citadel at sns starting at 4pm! This will be a televised event and we want to show as much support for our warriors as possible!  Good luck girls!!

The Halifax West Raspberry Pi Programming Club will be designing and building a life-size R2 D2 this year. If you are interested in assisting in the build of a remote controlled R2 D2 please come to a introductory meeting today at lunch in Room B320.​ May the Force be with You.
