All students that wish to participate in the "Women in Tech Day" at Dalhousie University on November 16th are reminded to pass in their permission forms to Mr. Watt in Room B320. Space is limited.

Any students that wish to participate in the free RBC icode and Robotics after school program are reminded to register on line or see Mr. Watt in Room B320 for the details.

To the students going on a field trip with Mr. Scott on Thursday to the cultural centre, please pick up your permission forms from Mr. Scott anytime today.

Auditions for the MCs of the Multicultural show will take place on Thursday October 25th in the Bella Rose Theatre at lunch and after school. If you can't attend that day please see Ms. de la Chevotiere in C225. The sign-up sheets are in the Drama hall on the call board.

Students who want to rehearse in the Bella Rose Theatre for the Multicultural Show may sign-up on the sheets in the Drama hall on the call board. More than one group may sign up for the same time and they will take turns on stage. 

Our campaign for Model Parliament 2018 has begun!  A reminder to Party leaders to have their posters approved by the main office and put up this week.  There will also be a very important Party leader meeting on Monday, October 29 at lunch in room C144, Mme Fougere's room.

Hey Warriors!  The Wake-a-thon is this Friday! Don't miss out on one of the most popular events at the West.  We will have activities running all night from 7pm-7am.  Pledge forms are still available in the main office and are due back, with the pledge money to the office on Wednesday.  All proceeds will be donated to the Brunswick Street Mission and the Ronald Mcdonald house.

If you would like to submit artwork or a cover design for the yearbook, now is the time.  Submit all entries to Mme Caracristi by email or to room C149.  The winning yearbook cover design will be selected during early November and other entries will be added within the yearbook itself.  If you have any further questions, feel free to ask Mme Caracristi, or Miss Mollison.

GSA members will meet today in the youth health centre, B315 at lunch. All welcome.

On Tuesday, Phoenix Youth Outreach will be available to meet with any youth aged 16+ who are interested in hearing more about how Phoenix Outreach can support you. Stop by the youth health centre Rm B315 between 130-3pm tomorrow or see Cheryl, our youth health coordinator for more information.

Congratulations to our girls’ soccer team for winning the regional banner this past weekend. Our girls defeated Dartmouth 7-1 in the semi-final and defeated Citadel 2-0 in the final. The girls now host a provincial qualifier this weekend. Good luck girls!

The girls’ hockey team play their home opener and first game of the season this Wednesday at Centennial arena for 4pm. Come out and support your girl warrior’s hockey team!! Free admission!

This is just a reminder that the NSSA permission forms are due on Tuesday, October 23rd, please get them signed and handed into Mrs. Whiteway room C343.

The girls’ volleyball team had a strong weekend at the SMU invitational tournament finishing second in their pool and falling in a tight match in the quarters.   The team was led by Madi Macdonald and strong serving from Abby Mitchell.
