A reminder to all Student Government members of the Student Gov movie night tomorrow night at 7pm.

Congratulations to our Senior Concert Band on their concert Sunday afternoon.  The band sounded great and did a great job of representing The West.

Also congratulations to Ilan Mendel, Kaitlyn Skelhorn, Evan West and Svenja Hoffman who were at school all weekend as part of the Nova Scotia Youth Wind Ensembles.  The Youth Wind is auditioned honor band made up of students from across the province who gathers on a regular basis to perform advanced music in a challenging setting.  Congratulations to our 4 West students in that group.

And super-duper congratulations to Ilan Mendal for winning a cross Canada composition competition.  Ilan's composition for full band took first place not only in his age category but in all age categories across the country.  Look to hear his composition at the next band concert in December.  Well done Ilan.

Students can still sign up to be part of the Multicultural Show on Thursday November 29th at 6:30 p.m. We are still looking for a group to dance the dabke or other traditional dances, students to wear their traditional clothing in the Fashion Show, spoken word, perform a monologue and whatever else you would like to share with us. Groups that want to rehearse in the theatre may sign up outside of the Drama room on the call board. There is a list of dates/times and teacher chaperones posted. Please see Ms. de la Chevotiere in C225 if you want to sign up for the show!

Hey Warriors!  Do you have a Halloween costume all ready for Wednesday? If you don't, start planning so you don't miss out on the fun!  Everyone is welcome to wear a costume that doesn't have a mask on Wednesday.  Come out to our costume contest in the caf at lunch!

The boys’ soccer team exploded for 16 goals this past weekend beating North Nova and Riverview High School in Sydney Cape Breton. The boys have secured a spot in this year’s provincial championships being played this weekend at Parkview High School in Bridgewater.  A reminder to the players of their training tomorrow after school. A communication will be sent as far as where training will be held.

All students that wish to participate in the "Women in Tech Day" at Dalhousie University on November 16th are reminded to pass in their permission forms to Mr. Watt in Room B320. Space is limited.

Tuesday is Jack-O-Lantern day so wear black and orange! The game in the caf will be mummy rolling.
