The Keshen Goodman Library will be running a monthly book club beginning Sept 22nd.  It will be held in the Seminar Room at lunchtime.  Bring your lunch, share a love of reading and talk about your favorite book.  All are welcome to attend.

Do you like live music? Local musicians need our support, so the Bella Rose is giving them a stage, but we still need an audience! The girls volleyball team won their first regular season game storming back from a 2-0 set deficit to win 3-2.   They were led by strong middle play from Megan Anthony 12 kills and Madi Macdonald 8 kills.

Hey warriors! Are you interested in journalism, photography, and video editing? Warriors Live is now going live and we are looking for more members to join our crew. Warriors Live is a monthly broadcast that will be airing once a month. If you are interested there will be an information meeting today at lunch in room A310. See you there!

Our annual Yearbook cover contest is starting back up, anyone interested in creating a design for the 2017-18 yearbook cover please bring in your design to room C149 anytime before October 6th.

The yearbook committee will be collecting Grade 12 baby pictures for the 2017-18 year book. For any grade twelves interested in submitting a photo, please bring it to room C149 anytime before October 6th. 

The West's first Coffee House of the year is quickly approaching. The Coffee House is taking place on Wednesday, September 27th at 7:00 p.m. here in the cafeteria. It will cost $2.00 at the door and all the proceeds will be going to Hurricane Relief funds. There will also be a bake sale for Hurricane relief funds at the entrance, so be sure to bring some extra change.

Listen up all students interested in being involved in our student government. There will be a meeting at lunch this Friday September 22nd in Mme Fougères room c144. Be sure to stop by to receive information about our upcoming initiatives, events and volunteer opportunities. All are welcome!

There's a Football game tonight at 7pm vs CPA at CPA turf.

The boys soccer team remains in first place with a 2-0 win last night over Dartmouth High School. After a sluggish first half, the boys regrouped controlling the second half tempo with 2 goals scored by Rinni  Ramani. Ahmed Haroun held the shutout for the 90 minutes. The boys are reminded of their training session 3:40 at mainland Commons.

There will be a boys’ basketball meeting in Room A283 Monday, Sept 25th at 6:30 pm for all interested in trying out.

There will be Open Improv Games today after school until 4:30 in the Drama Room, all are welcome.

There will be a Girls B soccer meeting in room A283 on Monday, September, 25th at 3:30 pm.

The Halifax West Concert Band will have it​'s first rehearsal next Wednesday Sept 27 at 8 am in the music room.  All are welcome, however, if you would like to play in the group and are not in the band class please let Mr. Burtt know in advance.

Also, jazz band and choir rehearsals will begin the week of October 2nd.
