The cafeteria is looking for two students to help out in the cafeteria at lunch.  The café is offering free lunch up to $5.00 for the student(s) chosen for the position.

Attention all students there will be an information session for a two week March break trip to China at lunch on Tuesday in room C240.  Come to the meeting to find out more details.

The first meeting of the chess club will be held today in room C246 at lunch.  Come and face off against players of all grades and skill levels.

Math club’s first meeting will be on Friday at lunch in room C246.

Any girls interested in playing High School hockey there will be a meeting at lunch time on Thursday in the gym.

The boys’ soccer team started the season on a positive note with a 4-1 victory over Sir John A on Mainland Commons yesterday. Ayoub Al Arabi,Jose Ramirez,Abdul Nimer and Abdullah Bajeunaid completed the scoring .The team is reminded of their training today after school, 3:30 at Mainland Commons.

Best Buddy applications are in the office. Remember to hand in your application no later than Thursday, September 14th as interviews will be held Friday, September 15th and Monday, September 18th at lunch time in Mme Haywards room.

If you are interested in joining the school’s Cross Country team, there will be a meeting today at lunch time in room A284.

For anyone interested in joining the Year Book Committee, there will be a meeting this Thursday in room C149 at lunch.

The Girls Soccer Team have their first game of the season today at 4pm vs Auburn at the Burnside Turf. Come out and cheer on the West.

To continue Welcome Week, there will be a scavenger hunt taking place in the caf today at lunch. Tomorrow, the spirit committee will be hosting another game in the caf at lunch, Tenner Trivia. Be sure to stop by and check it out.

There will be an information meeting for anyone interested in the Halifax West Improv Team this Friday at lunch in the Drama Room B223. Anyone wanting to learn more about this competitive Improv Team is encouraged to come.
