Students must have gym clothes in order to participate in Badminton.  Staff is welcome to attend.

Hey Warriors!  The World Involvement Committee is resuming sucker sales this week at lunch in the caf.  Look for the red and white cart and come buy a delicious sucker for only $1.  There are lots of fun flavours to choose from and all proceeds go to a great cause - The Nova Scotia Gambia Association!

Would you like to save money while you shop? Come to the caf at lunch and buy a Student Price Card for only $10 and save at a variety of stores all year long!  David's Tea, Forever 21, American Eagle, Pita Pit and much more!  Check it out at the sucker cart any day at lunch.

Dartmouth High is looking for a few students to join them on a service trip to Dominican Republic in December.  They will be here presenting today at lunch in room C329.  This is not a trip put on by the West, so this will be the only day to get information.  If you're interested, please attend.  

Interested in helping out in your community? Student Government is holding their annual Wake-A-Thon on October 20th. Students can stay up all night in the school in support of the Brunswick Street Mission and Ronald McDonald House. Pledge forms are available in the office for all of those who are interested. We’d love to see you there! 

Any Girls from the B soccer team who haven't gotten their forms, you can pick one up from smeltzer.

The Athlete of the week for this week is Tyler Turner from the Football team, After our starting quarterback went down with an injury Tyler stepped up and did a great job at the quarterback position. Good job Tyler! Come pick up your certificate in the office.

Today is the last day to submit your yearbook cover for the contest, as well as grade 12 baby pictures. If you are interested in submitting a picture or your cover, bring them to C149 before the end of the day. 

Hey Duke of Ed Silvers! There will be a brief but important meeting today at the beginning of lunch for the Duke of Ed silver candidates that went on the trip last weekend. Show up in Mr. Chiasson's room at the very beginning of lunch.

To all student government members attending the upcoming retreat in Truro, please take a waiver form for the Agricultural College from the gov room door and return it to Mme Starratt by Tuesday Oct. 10. 

The Halifax West Baseball Team scored 4 runs in the final inning of last night's game to defeat Citadel 5-4 in the regional semi-final.  The boys will try to repeat as champions against Auburn in the Championship game tonight at 6:00 @ Mainland Common. 

Do you like watching Anime? Anime club will be meeting every Thursday after school in C247 from 330-430.

The boys soccer team continued its successful fall trip with a 1-1 tie and an exciting 2-1 win over Academie St -Louis in 2 games played yesterday in Quebec city.

Reni Rrahmani scored on a penalty shot late in the second half of game 1 to give the Warriors the tie.  Abdul Nimer scored both goals in the second game to give the West boys a 2-1 victory.  Ahmed Haroun made several timely saves in the goal to solidify the win. The boys return to the field tonight for their fourth game versus LÈcole St-Jean Eudes.Good luck to the Warriors.
