Just a reminder the Secondary Education Information Presentations begin today. There is a sign-up sheet and schedule of workshops located in Guidance for any grade 11 or 12 students interested in attending

Reminder to all students:   For all students who had their photos taken on the first day the proofs are in the office to be picked up.

The boys soccer team finished their league schedule off with a 3- 1 win over CP Allen. Alan Hamo, Ali Ali and Nafpreet Singh provided the scoring. The boys will start preparing for the City championships which start early this week. All players are reminded of their training today at 3:30 Mainland Commons.

There’s a meeting for the volunteerism committee today at lunch in room A352

The girls’ varsity soccer team had a tie 2-2 against citadel on Friday night with goals by Kamryn Hubley and Hannah Turnbull! They finished first place in their division and are off to regionals. good luck girls

For anyone interested in trying out for the boys basketball teams. Tryouts will be taking place Friday, October 18th at 6:30 pm, Saturday at 10 am and Sunday at 10 am. Please see Mr. Watson in room C341A or C327 if you have any questions.

Girls basketball tryouts will start Friday October 18th 4-5:30, Saturday 1-2:30 and Sunday 1-2:30

There will be an important meeting for all cross-country runners in A284 today at the beginning of lunch. Everyone attending regionals on Thursday must attend.

The girls volleyball team host Dartmouth high tomorrow at 6 in our gym the game will televised on eastlink  come out and cheer on the team

Women in Tech Day!
Dalhousie Faculty of Computer Science wishes to invite you to the third annual Women In Tech Event on Friday, November 15th.

Women In Tech Day is an inspiring, stereotype-busting, interactive exploration which encourages young women to consider the many career pathways and ever increasing employment openings which exist through the study of computer science and technology.

This event will help young women realize the possibilities offered through a career in technology by hearing important messages of the future from other students, faculty and industry. The skill sets needed by industry through the study of computer science and IT can be linked to every aspect of study from communication, art and design, business, medicine, health, engineering, law and more. There are also scholarship opportunities.

If you are interested in learning more please attend a meeting at lunch on Thursday, October 17th in Room B320. If you cannot make this meeting but wish to attend please see Mr. Watt.
There will be a meeting in C225 on Friday October 18th for all those interested in participating in the Multicultural Show on November 27th. If you sing, dance, play an instrument, read poetry, act, or want to join a group please come to the meeting. If you want to host the show please come to the meeting. If you want to find out how to be involved be in C225 at 11: 50! If you can't make it,  but are interested in being part of Halifax West's 30 year tradition then email Ms. de la Chevotière.
