Any grade 12 student interested in applying for the Loran Scholarship should submit a one page letter of intent to the guidance office by 12:00 pm Friday, October 5th.  This letter should indicate why you would be the best candidate for the scholarship.  Please see the guidance bulletin board for more information.

Last chance to join Halifax West in its annual March Break Europe trip. Enjoy the beauty and allure of European culture as we travel to the unique and spectacular countries of Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, and Hungary. There are only a few spaces left, so hurry into see Mme Hayward (Room C145) or Mrs. MacLean (Room C125) to reserve your spot. Enrollment closes this Friday.

There will be a short meeting on Friday, October 5th for International EAL students in the library.  Come to the library at 12:30pm.

Mr. Scott is looking for students of African descent who may be interested in a tour of Dalhousie University in November.  If interested please see Mr. Scott for details.

Any students interested in attending Women in Tech Day at Dalhousie University on November 16 2018 are asked to attend an information meeting at lunch today in Room B320. If you are interested and are unable to attend this meeting please see Mr. Watt.

It is that time of year again! Halifax West will be holding its 35th annual Model Parliament in December.  This is a longstanding Halifax tradition and you can be part of it!  It is time to get started. There will be a general meeting for all those interested today at lunch in room C144, Mme Fougere's room. 

There will be a Peer Tutoring Program.   Students who are interested in being a tutor can get a registration form from room C320. 

Have an idea for a prom theme?  Add it to our list of ideas in order to nominate your idea for voting!  Theme list is posted outside of room C143.
