Attention all students there will be an information session for a two week March break trip to China at lunch today in room C240.  Come to the meeting to find out more details.

There will be open Improv Games in the Drama Room B223 today at lunch, everyone is welcome to come and play.

Come check out our school store in A317 next to the 3rd floor elevator.  We sell west wear, school supplies, and personal items.

The Keshen Goodman Library will be running a monthly book club beginning Sept 22nd.  It will be held in the Seminar Room at lunchtime.  Bring your lunch, share a love of reading and talk about your favorite book.  All are welcome to attend.

Interact Club meets today at lunch in room A317.  All are welcome to join!

The Youth Health Centre is now open. Pop by to meet Cheryl, the new youth health centre coordinator. Cheryl's schedule and contact number is posted outside the youth health centre, Room C351.

The West will be taking on the Participaction 150 Playlist every second Monday with a new activity! For more information refer to the sports board. Today we will be having our first activity in the gym at lunch! It will be Zumba! Anyone interested can stop by the gym today during lunch time.

Halifax West's Gender Sexuality Alliance is having its first meeting today at lunch time in room C228. Everyone is welcome, so we hope to see you there!

Our annual Yearbook cover contest is starting back up, anyone interested in creating a design for the 2017-18 yearbook cover please bring in your design to room C149 anytime before October 6th.

The yearbook committee will be collecting Grade 12 baby pictures for the 2017-18 year book. For any grade twelves interested in submitting a photo, please bring it to room C149 anytime before October 6th. 

Congratulations to both the boys and girls soccer team, who won both of their games last friday. The girls beat CPA 4-1 and the boys also beat CPA, with a score of 8-2. 

Our Girls Volleyball team had a hard fought tournament in PEI this weekend making it to the quarter finals.

There will be a cross country practice after school, meet in Ms. Brennan's room A284 after the bell.  Students must pick up forms today for the meet on Wednesday.

There is a Girls Soccer game today at 6 vs Sackville High School at Burnside Turf, and a Boys Soccer game vs CPA at CPA turf @6, come out and support ur fellow warriors!

The boys’ soccer team is reminded of their game 6 pm versus CP Allen in Bedford. The boys are asked to bring both jerseys and arrive by 515.  Today’s roster is posted in the gym area.

The girls’ volleyball team had a strong start to their season in PEI winning 3 and losing 2 matches.   The team was led by Tess McIsaac stepping in to set after an injury and strong passing and serving from Paige Grabka and Taylor Arsenault.
