Today is the final day to submit yearbook and Prom committee application forms into the office.

There will be tryouts for the boys baseball team held today, Wednesday and Friday of this week.  Tryouts will take place from 3:30 - 5:00 at Westridge field.

Mr. Scott is looking for students of African descent to join the Halifax West Umoja Club.  If interested please come to the seminar room at lunchtime.
There will be Open Improv Games in the Drama Room B223 today at lunch. Come out to play Improv Games and perform in Improv Scenes; bring your lunch and enjoy the fun!

Anyone interested on playing on the West boys baseball team? Your last chance to try out is this Friday, September 14th at 3:30 at Westridge Field.

There will a meeting for any boy interested in trying out for the Halifax West Boys Hockey Team today at 11:50 in RM A283

Chess club will meet on Wednesdays at lunch in C246.  All are welcome.

Math club will begin today at lunch this week in C246.  Anyone interested in some interesting math challenges is welcome to attend.

Are you interested in being part of this year's musical "Hairspray"? Then come to an important information meeting Thursday Sept 20th at Lunch in the Bella Rose Arts Center. The meeting will cover all aspects of the production, everyone interested in being part of the musical is asked to attend.

Halifax West's Jack.org chapter will hold its first meeting for all interested students on Tuesday Sept 18th at lunch in the Youth health centre, Room B315.  Come be a part of this national network of young people making noise in effort to create positive mental health change in your school community.

The boys “A" soccer team returned to the field this week having played two very competitive games. Tuesday afternoon the rookie filled team came up short losing 1-0 against Citadel.  Yesterday the boys replied with a gritty performance scoring in extra time to tie CPA 3-3. Abdul Nimer contributed with 2 goals while Sean Feeman scored the tying goal in extra time. The players are reminded of their exhibition game today 6 pm at Tremont field.
