Our campaign for Model Parliament 2018 has begun!  A reminder to Party leaders to have their posters approved by the main office and put up this week.  There will also be a very important Party leader meeting on Monday, October 29 at lunch in room C144, Mme Fougere's room.

Saint Mary’s University will be visiting Halifax West High School at lunch time today in the caf. 

If you would like to submit artwork or a cover design for the yearbook, now is the time.  Submit all entries to Mme Caracristi by email or to room C149.  The winning yearbook cover design will be selected during early November and other entries will be added within the yearbook itself.  If you have any further questions, feel free to ask Mme Caracristi, or Miss Mollison.

All students that wish to participate in the "Women in Tech Day" at Dalhousie University on November 16th are reminded to pass in their permission forms to Mr. Watt in Room B320. Space is limited.

All Students participating in the RBC icode robotics course that begins today after school are asked to meet in Room B320 at 3:30.  

The Halifax West Programming Club resumes today at lunch in Room B320. Our weekly guest Robert Smith from Dalhousie University will be in attendance.

Wake-a-thon is tomorrow night!  Check in will be at 7:00pm at the entrance by guidance.  Forms and money will still be collected in the main office until the end of the school day today.  Don't miss out on this fun event!

Hey Warriors, this Monday were starting a grades battle for Oktoberfest!  Each grade will be competing against each other in the scavenger hunt game Goose Chase.  If you're interested in winning some treats and a movie night for your grade download Goosechase and make an account.   Information on how to join will be given out on our West student gov Instagram account over the weekend and over the announcements Monday morning. The game will not start until Monday morning and will end by the end of the school day on Wednesday.  Good luck to all grades!  May the best grade win!

The weekend is fast approaching and so is the big event you don't want to miss! This Saturday, catch the boy’s hockey team at their home opener game at centennial arena at 8:00 pm.  Show up with your best west spirit and be ready to cheer hard for your warriors as they play against the Cole Harbour Cavaliers.  Admission is $3.00 at the door, see you there!

The boys’ soccer team is reminded of a quick meeting today at 12:25 in the seminar room. Training today goes at 3:45 at Mainland Commons. Players are also reminded to pass in outstanding fees to Mr. Gavas today.

Monday is devils versus costume theme for October fest and the caf game at lunch will be apple bobbing.
